Excelsior wattles (or logs) are flexible, tube-shaped devices made from 100% biodegradable aspen wood fibers wrapped in netting, created to filter water runoff and slow down water flow on construction sites and slopes. Unlike straw, these will last 1–2 years and are used as check dams, perimeter controls, and slope interruptions.
These usually do not make sense to ship in less than a truckload due to their large size and freight costs. There are 36 per pallet and 22 or 24 pallets per truckload.
