This blend is commonly used in gardens for growing tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers, or anywhere you need more phosphorus and potash than nitrogen. The high levels of phosphorus and potassium make this mixture an excellent starter fertilizer for all plants. This blend provides sufficient nitrogen to initiate plant growth without causing excessive leaf production at the expense of your garden vegetables or creating nitrogen runoff during rainfall.
