With balanced energy and protein, this high-end mixture of grasses and legumes is specifically designed to provide livestock with the nutrition they need to maintain, gain, and thrive in the challenging climate of the southeast. From its base of Novel Endophyte Fescue to its complementary blend of clovers, this mixture has the best interest of your herd in mind!  The main component of Balancer is Martin II Protek Novel Endophyte Fescue. Martin II Protek is the new novel endophyte tall fescue, combining the proven genetics of Martin 2 forage tall fescue with the enhancement of the Protek™ endophyte. Martin 2 is an early- to medium-maturing tall fescue selected for the transition zone. Its pedigree includes several USA varieties, including Mozark, the original Martin, Cajun, and three KY31 synthetics. Despite its southern breeding, it is adapted to the entire US tall fescue market.  In addition to Martin II Protek, Balancer also contains orchardgrass.  Red Clover and White Clover contribute nitrogen to pastures, improving overall forage quality with their high digestible protein and mineral content. Pasture productivity is almost always improved when clovers are added, as they boost summer production. The longevity of these two southern clovers has been proven.
