Perennial ryegrass is a bunchgrass with shiny, dark green, smooth leaves. Height 2-3' tall if not mowed. The seeding rate is 25 to 35 lbs. per acre. Pasture, hay, and silage are the most common uses, but it is also used for lawn establishment. Natural reseeding is common.
