Creeping red fescue is a fine leaf variety that has a wide range when used for lawns, shade, erosion control along roads and highways; cuts, fills, and other disturbed areas; and for stream and channel bank stabilization. Recreation and beautification: Creeping red fescue makes excellent lawns and golf greens. It is frequently used in shade and partly shady areas. Performs best if not cut too short.
