You can buy it full of propane or empty. The price you see here is for a full tank, which is the best value. Tank cylinders conform to DOT and NFPA-58 specifications. They are triple-tested with dry pneumatic air and steel shot-blasted before being painted. All cylinders are powder-coated for maximum rust protection.
Keep a spare tank for emergencies. You never know when you may need it, and propane will not degrade like other fuels.
Note: LP tanks with gas should be transported upright.
